Treatment and Intervention Services for
Autism Spectrum Disorder
At Epic Strides, we provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment services designed to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across communication, behavior, daily living skills, social development, and independence.
While no single treatment can “cure” ASD, the right combination of therapies can reduce symptoms, build meaningful skills, increase confidence, and enhance a child’s ability to participate fully in home, school, and community life. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures every child receives a treatment plan built around their strengths, challenges, age, and unique needs.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
ABA is one of the most widely accepted and research-supported treatments for individuals with ASD. At Epic Strides, ABA focuses on:
- Teaching positive, functional behaviors
- Reducing challenging or unsafe behaviors
- Building communication, learning, and independence
- Tracking progress daily for measurable success
Our therapists and BCBAs work closely with families to set goals, support consistency across environments, and help children make life-changing strides.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy helps children develop communication skills that allow them to express their needs, connect with others, and gain confidence. Depending on your child’s strengths, we may target:
- Verbal communication
- Gestures, signs, or AAC devices
- Following directions and understanding language
- Articulation, clarity, and social communication
Our therapists support both verbal and nonverbal communicators and collaborate closely with ABA teams when needed.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy focuses on building the skills needed for daily independence. OT services at Epic Strides may include:
- Dressing, bathing, eating, toileting
- Fine motor and coordination skills
- Sensory regulation and participation
- Social engagement during everyday routines
OT helps children feel more confident and capable in their daily life activities.
Social Skills Training
Social skills training teaches children how to form connections, participate in groups, and interact with peers. Our programs help children learn:
- Conversation and turn-taking
- Sharing, problem-solving, and cooperation
- Understanding emotions (their own and others’)
- How to build safe, healthy friendships
This training is especially helpful for children with ASD who may benefit from guided, structured social practice.
Assistive Technology
Assistive technology can open new pathways for communication. Tools may include:
- Communication boards
- Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
- Speech-generating devices (SGDs)
- AAC apps on tablets
These tools support children who communicate best through visual or technology-based methods. We help families and schools learn how to implement them successfully.
Medication (When Appropriate)
While medication cannot cure ASD or treat core symptoms, it may support children experiencing:
- High energy levels
- Difficulty focusing
- Anxiety or depression
- Sleep or seizure concerns
- Behavioral reactivity or self-injury
Medication should always be managed by a healthcare professional experienced in ASD. Our role is to collaborate with your child’s medical team, ensuring everyone is informed and working together to support your child’s safety and progress.
Our Commitment to Your Child’s Growth
Every child deserves a team that believes in their potential. At Epic Strides, we are committed to:

Support for families navigating school services and IEP meetings.
Helping your child build skills that last a lifetime
